Solid Waste Management Planning Committee (SWMPC)

The Solid Waste Management Planning Committee is a 14-member state-mandated committee that is formed when a County performs an amendment or update to the County Solid Waste Managment Plan.  Genesee County has begun the process to amend the Solid Waste Plan and will be doing so over the next several months. The committee members will assist and direct in the amendment of the County’s Solid Waste Management Plan through advice and consultation.  Members will work with staff to develop and ultimately recommend to the County Board of Commisisoners the language, goals, and recommendations that will govern the management of Genesee County's waste for future years.  This committee was appointed on November 30, 2011.
