First Report

When sentenced to a term of probation, your case is sent to the 67th District Court Probation Department. Your first appointment with your probation officer is a very important meeting. This is called your "First Report" to probation.

It is at this time that the probation officer will gather information about you. The probation officer will be particularly interested in any current legal charges in addition to the one for which you are starting probation, your legal record, and the past and present psychological treatment history. The terms and conditions of your probation will be explained to you during your First Report.

You will receive a letter in the mail informing you of the name of your Probation Officer and the date and time of your First Report.  If you do not receive a letter within two weeks from the date that you were sentenced, you should contact the Probation Department at 810-257-3177.
