Community Service Work (CSW)


Program Rules and Regulations


Community service work may be done at any non-profit organizations with court approval. If you have any questions regarding your community service work, please contact your Probation Officer immediately. If you do not have a Probation Officer, then contact the Community Service Work Liaison.

Once you have read and reviewed the Work Rules and Time Sheet information below:

  • If you know any agency where you wish to complete your community service work hours AND you have determined that they are a non-profit agency (a Non-profit agency is defined as having a 501(C3) status with the IRS):
    • Contact the agency to see if they will allow you to do community service work with them
    • Print out the timesheet to take to the agency in order to ensure accurate records are kept of your community service work.
       
  • If you do not know of any agency, click on the List of Agencies link below:
    • Once you have determined the agency you wish to complete your community service work hours:
      • Contact the agency to see if they will allow you to do your community service work with them
      • Print out the timesheet to take to the agency in order to ensure accurate records are kept of your community service work.
         
  • Completed community service work hours:
    • Must be turned in no later than one week prior to your court date in order to be verified in time for your next court appearance.
      • If you are on probation, your completed community service work should be turned in to your Probation Officer.
      • If you are not on probation, your completed community service work should be turned in to the Community Service Work Liaison.

 COMPLETED COMMUNITY SERVICE WORK HOURS MUST BE TURNED NO LATER THAN ONE WEEK PRIOR TO YOUR RETURN TO COURT DATE.
