Commissioner District 6 - Fred Shaltz
Fred Shaltz has been a County Commissioner for over 14 years. He was born in Calumet, Michigan and moved to Flint at one month old. Commissioner Shaltz currently lives in Fenton Township
Commissioner Shaltz graduated from Flint St. Agnes. From 1952 to 1959 he studied Land Surveying and Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and became a licensed land surveyor in 1963.
The father of five sons, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren, he founded Delta Engineering in 1965 and Delta Aerial Photography. His wife, Judy passed away of cancer 14 years ago.
He is a member of St. John Catholic Church in Fenton. He loves antiques, hunting and fishing.
